I’m a therapist who loves writing and explaining concepts in ways you can grasp, hoping to inspire the desire to pursue the art of growing because you are important and all the people you love are too.
It may be that the only way you learn to rely on God’s strength is when you are in a slump on the kitchen floor crying because you don’t feel you have another ounce to give. You might be so incredibly weary, you wonder if God put you in the wrong situation or family because it’s just become way too hard.
It may be that the moment you’re in the slump, is the moment of surrender to the One who takes over and gives you the strength. The One that picks you up off the floor and holds you through His mysterious ways, giving you the strength to make it through the rest of the day.
And the next day, you may feel just a bit stronger.
The slump brought you to the end of yourself.
The end of your own strength.
It was the only way to get there.
You hadn’t realized you were doing things in your own strength.
It’s just the way you function and it’s hard to believe there’s another way.
You’ve had to be strong for a long time.
God sees you and knows your weariness and knows you are just about done.
He’s waiting for the slump of surrender, and He will take over.
Don’t be afraid of it.
The end of yours is the beginning of His.
Be encouraged, friends.
You can do all things in His strength.
Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Love that last thought “The end of yours is the beginning of His”. Grateful that He is always there waiting and inviting me to rest in Him.
Yes and it seems to be a lifelong learning process to understand the difference between doing things in our strength vs His. 🩷🩷
